Corrugated Cardboard Production Line
Corrugated cardboard production line is also called corrugator line, it is combined by wet part, dry part and intelligence manage system 3 main parts. By the corrugated cardboard production line, we can produce multiply corrugated cardboard from paper roll. The wet part is mill roll stand, single facer and some other machines which work with steam and glue to crease the flute, the dry part includes slitter scorer, cutting off machine and some other machines to finish slitting, stacking process. Working principal
The corrugated cardboard production line is the machine for producing paper to corrugated cardboard. It has two workmanship sections, dry section and wet section, the machines in difference section work together to finish flute forming, glue, cutting and stacking.
Wet section for flute forming and glue, this is the core part of the whole corrugated cardboard production line
Mill roll stand: for supporting the paper roll, now most mill roll stand is hydraulic mill roll stand, each arm can carry 3 tons, it also can support auto correction and auto splicer.
Single facer: forming the paper to be flute shape, and stick the flute paper with another paper to be 2 ply corrugated cardboard, normally adopt carbide flute roller to meet long working life.
Gluing machine and double facer: for gluing on the 2 ply corrugated cardboard and laminate another layer of paper, then go to double facer for baking, PLC control the glue mounting for saving glue.
Pre heater: for pre heating on the paper to make sure the paper quality, this machine have to meet the standard of pressure vessel.
Dry section for slitting cutting and stacking, so the cutting precision is important on this section.
Slitter scorer: for slitting and scorering on the corrugated cardboard as per order request, the slitting knives can move, and working precision is high, the tolerance is 0.5-1mm
Cutting off machine: for cutting the corrugated cardboard, can work in high precision, normally the tolerance is 0.5-1mm, it can store difference orders.
Stacker: automatic counting, stacking, with automatc output part to save labor cost.
Control system: this is based on the PLC and industry fieldbus (like PROFIBUS) 3 step control frame, to achieve order management, speed coordination, fault alarm, and some system support work with ERP integration.
Parameter and index
The performance of the corrugated cardboard production line can affect the production capacity and cost directly. The corrugated carton machines is always upgrade on the speed, width and intelligence.
Speed: the traditional speed is 80-250m/minutes, the high speed intelligence corrugator line speed can be 375-450m/minute, some model of corrugator line can change order withouat any speed reduce.
Width and layer quantity: the working width is from 1200mm to 3300mm, it has 3 ply, 5 ply, 7 ply and 9 ply corrugated cardboard production line, at the begin of year 2016, the first 9 ply corrugated cardboard production lin in width 2800mm had started to work in Hebei Province.
Cost control: the power consumption is 20%-40% lower than before via Variable Frequency Motor and temperature control system, the glue cost can be reduced to 14.5kg/ton, steam cost is 180kg/ton.
Precision and stability: slitting and cutting off precision is 0.5mm.
